An age-old phenomenon—”The Power of the Written Word”.
Peek into cultures, characters, fashion, or food. Love that mind candy!
I love reading at least 3 books at the same time. Usually a self-help, a sexy & trendy best seller, a traveller guide and fashion magazines galore.
Reading is my favorite escape. I always wanted to form a like minded book club. I’m always insecure of following through worried the other women will get too sticky with some unlike minded heavies.
This inspires me. I buy books. I never read them. Conversations pop up, I usually own the book, but I can’t really discuss the stoyline etc. I’m gonna pull out eat.love.pray. I’ve started it 3 or 4 times.
I meet 4 other gals bi-monthly for book night. we’ve read three books so far. I’m enjoying the sisterhood of it all. Sometimes it’s funny the different perspectives. I’m immature and simple. I like when I choose it’s always an easy current read.
I need to make time to finish my books. I’m reading BLINK. It’s interesting and well, I need to finish it. Any new suggestions for summer reads?
One fifth was a good read! Twilight was too!
If you take the time to read Twilight, you must also read the whole series………you will get hooked and enjoy them as well!!
Unless you take the time to read, how will you have the necessary information needed to make life decisions? Most people don’t think they have the “time” to read, while others don’t like to read, but without the written word we are doomed. So, all you couch potatoes out there, open up a book, read a magazine, pick up the newspaper….become informed! You just might enjoy yourself!
I typically read books on how to better myself, but I recently read a novel and was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. I was so cliche, I couldn’t put it down! Now my reading has expanded to everything from novels, self-help and counseling books, “zen” decorating books, to theology books. I love all reading, and it is so refreshing to know you are learning and growing and educated!
